Shahrukh Khan was part of the victorious Tamil Nadu team which won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21 and 2021-22. He introduced to the world his extraordinary hitting abilities that helped Tamil Nadu win in the quarterfinals as well as the final of the tournament in 2020-21 and then helped the side to win their second successive Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title with his last-ball six in the final. Following his impressive showing, PBKS bought the batter for a huge sum of Rs. 9 crore and gave him the role of a finisher in the IPL. Khan scored 117 runs from 8 games last season and will be hoping to turn things around for his franchise in IPL 2023.
