A big-hitting right-handed batsman from Jammu Kashmir, 19-year old Abdul Samad was shortlisted in the Sunrisers Hyderabad trials ahead of the 2020 IPL Auction. He was signed by Sunrisers for 20 lakh which made him only the fourth cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir after Parvez Rasool, Manzoor Dar & Rasikh Salam to earn an IPL contract. Known to score at a brisk pace, bold with the bat with a liking for the big hits, Samad could well be one of the young talents to watch out for this IPL season.
