Jason Holder’s TATA IPL journey has seen him play for multiple teams and his value as a seam-bowling all-rounder has ensured sustained demand. Over the years, he has represented CSK, SRH, KKR, LSG and RR, providing balance with both bat and ball. An accomplished international, Holder is a former West Indies Test captain and a former number one all-rounder in the ICC Test rankings. His all-format pedigree is reflected in over 400 international wickets, along with significant contributions with the bat, including a highest score of 202* in Tests and 99* in ODIs. In recent years, he has transitioned into a T20 specialist. Having last appeared in the IPL in 2023, Holder returned to the league at the 2026 auction, where he sparked a bidding contest between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. GT secured him for INR 7 crore, filling a key seam-bowling all-rounder role. Standing at 6 feet 7 inches, Holder’s height and bounce make him particularly effective.
