Harpreet Brar is an Indian slow left-arm orthodox spinner and a capable lower-order batter who relies on tight lines, subtle variations in pace, and a relentless stump-to-stump trajectory to restrict opposition scoring. Representing Punjab in the domestic circuit, he recently showcased his highly effective red-ball credentials during the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season, claiming 23 wickets in just four matches. In the domestic T20 format, he has established himself as a highly reliable defensive bowler, securing over 100 wickets with an overall economy rate comfortably under 7.50.Brar’s Indian Premier League (IPL) journey has been exclusively tied to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) since he made his tournament debut in 2019. He firmly etched his name in the franchise's history during the 2021 season with a spectacular, match-winning spell where he single-handedly dismissed the elite trio of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers. His consistent ability to deliver economical, high-pressure overs prompted PBKS to reward him with a ₹3.80 Crore contract in 2022, and the franchise successfully brought him back into the fold for ₹1.50 Crore during the 2025 mega auction. After claiming 10 wickets in eight matches during the team's highly successful run to the 2025 final, PBKS officially retained him at his ₹1.50 Crore salary to maintain their core domestic spin depth ahead of the 2026 season. Across his 49-match IPL career to date, Brar has taken 35 wickets with an overall economy rate of 8.03
