Marco Jansen is a towering South African all-rounder, standing over two metres tall, who combines new-ball swing with steep bounce and dangerous lower-order hitting. His height and natural angles make him a challenging proposition, especially in helpful conditions.\r\nHe was identified through Mumbai Indians’ scouting programme and emerged as a surprise pick in the 2021 auction, making his TATA IPL debut even before earning his international cap later that year. However, opportunities were limited, with Jansen featuring in just two matches that season, and he was not retained. He then moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he spent three seasons between 2022 and 2024, operating as a seam-bowling all-rounder.\r\nHis most productive IPL season came in 2025 with Punjab Kings, where he picked up 16 wickets and played a more consistent role with the ball.
