Initially a net bowler for the Chennai super Kings, left-arm seamer Mukesh Choudhary had a breakout season after earning his debut in TATA IPL 2022, finishing as CSK’s leading wicket-taker with 16 scalps. After a tough start on debut where he went for 39 runs in 3.3 overs, Choudhary bounced back with crucial spells, including a match-winning 3/19 against MI and 4/46 against SRH. His ability to swing the new ball and strike early made him a vital cog in the bowling attack. He was ruled out of IPL 2023 and was limited to just one game in IPL 2024 and two games in 2025. However, CSK showed their faith in the pacer by bringing him back on board during the Mega Auction ahead of the 2025 season and he will hope to play a bigger role in proceedings in IPL 2026.
