Afghanistan’s rising spin sensation Noor Ahmad made an instant impact in TATA IPL 2023 with 16 wickets in Gujarat Titans’ run to the final. The young left-arm wrist-spinner has been impressive at the international circuit as well having won the Player of the Match award on his T20I debut. Given his unique skill set and ability to turn the game in the middle overs, he was CSK’s most expensive buy at the 2025 TATA IPL Auction, securing a deal worth INR 10 Crore. He repaid the faith shown in him by CSK. Operating as part of a star-studded spin trio including Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor emerged as CSK’s leading wicket-taker and the 2nd highest wicket-taker in the 2025 season with 24 wickets in just 14 innings at an average of 17. The 21-year-old will now take up the responsibility of leading the spin department for CSK in IPL 2026.
